Rihanna's Racy Pics Deleted From Instagram

Rihanna's Racy Pics Deleted From Instagram

Rihanna's Lui magazine outtakes (Twitter)
Rihanna's Navy soldiers (that's what she calls her fans) need not worry. The pop superstar's Instagram is not in danger of getting shut down.
When the "Can't Remember to Forget You" singer posted a few naked shots from her recent Hollywood Hills photo shoot with the French magazine Lui, the Facebook-owned photo sharing service responded quickly by removing them.
Of course, that didn't stop the very outspoken performer from taking her photo shoot elsewhere in the social media sphere. Once Instagram censored her racy pics, Rihanna went ahead and posted them on Twitter (where content is not mediated) for her 35 million followers there to see.  Nudity is allowed on Twitter when marked with the setting, "Mark my media as containing sensitive content."

Although Instagram does not comment on specific accounts, they did share with Yahoo the general terms on how they handle the reports they receive from other members of the Instagram community regarding questionable content:
•  Instagram's terms and community guidelines prohibit content that contains nudity.
•  There are report links on every photo, video, and comment on the site. If a person sees something they believe may violate their policies, Instagram encourages them to report it.
•  A trained team reviews these reports quickly and if the content violates any of the general terms, removes it.
•  Instagram uses a system of multiple warnings, which are sent to the contact info provided by the user at signup to help educate the user on Instagram's policies before the social media site opts to take action such as deactivating an account.
•  If its policies continue to be violated after multiple warnings, Instagram then deactivate accounts.

A source close to the situation tells Yahoo that RiRi's account has never been in jeopardy of being disabled, despite one report that Instagram "is now threatening the singer within an inch of her exposed nipples." The Barbadian beauty did most likely receive one of Instagram's standardized warnings that goes out to anyone who posts content which violates its terms and conditions.
Needless to say, shutting down Rihanna's account hypothetically would be a very bad PR move for Instagram. She's the brand's third most popular user with 12.8 million followers. Only Kim Kardashian (14 million) and Justin Bieber (15.7 million) have more.
Rihanna did, however, follow up on Instagram by posting what appears to be nude fan art of herself that's seemingly inspired by the Lui photo shoot. It's unclear whether or not nude art is a violation of Instagram's policies, but it appears not to be the case as the fan art's been up for at least six hours as of this article's publication.
What now?
